U2SID Steering Committee Meeting: Advancing the Digital Transformation Challenge
On September 20, 2024, the U2SID Steering Committee held a virtual meeting to discuss the progress of the project’s pivotal initiatives, led by the University of Shkoder "Luigj Gurakuqi."
Focus on the Digital Challenge
The meeting's main agenda centered around Work Package 3 (WP3), which is dedicated to the Digital Transformation Challenge. This initiative aims to empower partner universities by enhancing their digital infrastructure and pedagogical approaches, equipping them to meet contemporary educational demands effectively. The Digital Challenge, initiated in July 2024, is a critical phase of U2SID’s broader objectives, and its success will set the foundation for sustainable digital growth in partner institutions.
An essential part of this work package is the Digital Challenge Manual, which serves as a comprehensive guide to implementing digital solutions across the consortium. This manual, collaboratively to be developed by the University of Montenegro and the University of Shkoder, will outline practical strategies, methodologies, and best practices for integrating digital tools in project-based learning processes. During the meeting, partners reviewed the progress made so far, emphasizing the manual's pivotal role in supporting ongoing and future digital transformation efforts.
All partners agreed that a well-structured manual is crucial for sustaining the project’s impact beyond its official timeline.
Beyond the focus on the Digital Challenge, the Steering Committee addressed several internal matters necessary for the project's smooth implementation.
Moving forward, the U2SID project team will concentrate efforts on refining the Digital Challenge Manual. Partners are committed to maintaining active communication and collaboration to navigate any challenges that arise.
This Steering Committee meeting underlines the consortium’s dedication to achieving U2SID’s mission of strengthening digital competencies and fostering innovation in the Western Balkans' higher education sector.
