U2SID Participates in International Workshop on Collaborative Virtual Learning in Higher Education

From July 3-5, 2025, the U2SID project team from the Center for Contemporary Integration Studies (CCIS ) participated in the International Workshop “Promoting and Facilitating Collaborative Virtual International Learning in the Western Balkans’ Higher Education Institutions”, hosted by Università del Salento  in Lecce, Italy. The event was organized within the framework of the Erasmus+ COWEB CBHE project, coordinated by Epoka University  , and focused on building capacities in higher education institutions through strategies that promote digital transformation in education.

The U2SID project, led by the University of Shkodra, shares COWEB’s commitment to advancing digital transformation within the higher education landscape. By fostering inclusive digital transformation, U2SID aims to bridge the gap between universities and key stakeholders, including businesses, policymakers, civil society, and the media. This alignment underscores the broader mission of Erasmus+ initiatives to enable impactful collaboration and innovation in education.

The workshop provided a platform for U2SID to share its experiences in advancing digital skills and promoting inclusive education. CCIS representatives highlighted U2SID’s initiatives, including the development of digital literacy programs and efforts to strengthen connections between academia and society. These activities are essential for ensuring a comprehensive and equitable approach to digital transformation across the Western Balkans.

Participation in this workshop also supported U2SID’s objective to raise awareness about the importance of inclusive digitalization. Engaging in such international collaborations enhances collective efforts to make digital advancements accessible to all, ensuring that education and digital skills development are integral to societal progress.
